Hill Walking For The College
Posted by Max Hunter on 21st November, 2013
Today, working at the college, I was out with the students on the start of their Mountain Module. Day 1 was an introduction to hill walking skills, including personal management and intro to nav.
I found quite a bit of frost heave on the ground above 250m, after a cold night, and the remains on the ground of the snow from Monday night. Ice in the puddles in places was 3cm thick, at 470m.
Ben Nevis is looking inviting at the moment – roll on the weekend.
