Nav In The Mist But Not The Snow, Yet

Today I was again working with the first year degree students from the Fort William WHC College (UHI), working on their Hill Walking Skills module. I was out with Blair and Lewis. The Met Office satellite prediction images looked like we were set for a very wet day, but we managed to have only a damp day, and we got back to Fort William as the heavier rain set in.
So it’s the end of a good week – Hunter Mountaineering went live, I sold a lot of my old kit over the last 2 weeks, financing new winter work axes (Edelrid Riot) and a jacket (arrived today – Flame colour!).
Off now to Glenmore Lodge for the first Scottish Coach Development Training course.
Next week I’ll be spending some time in the snow – at last!
