South Ridge Of Meall Cumhann
Posted by Max Hunter on 27th November, 2014
On Wednesday I was working at the UHI West Highland College (WHC) with the ATM first year students. On the schedule for them was a day of mountain scrambling, as part of their mountain walking module. I was working with Dave Anderson, and between us we were with Mairead, Cormac, Sam and Isabelle. We decided to go to the south ridge of Meal Cumhann. The weather was fantastic, and dry – the views were terrific. We could see the snow on the tops of the higher munros. I would have been pleased to see a little more snow – but I guess that winter is a little late in arriving this year!
The group did well with their personal movement, route choice and group spotting – and all too soon the scrambling was over, and it was time to go down. A great day to be in Glen Nevis.
