Curved Ridge + Crowberry tower

Today the forecast was for the wind to ease off hugely from about mid morning into the afternoon. The morning winds were definitely to be avoided, so we did some tactical faffing this morning to take a slightly late start for Curved Ridge. This paid off and by the time we summited Stob Dearg the wind was very minimal as forecast. It was however heavy rain all day so we got pretty wet. For me it was a 3 glove day.

An interesting observation – There were 4 abseil points (with 7mm cord tied with undressed overhand knots) throughout the height of the ridge (the last one was about 10m below the top of Curved Ridge), which had definitely all been used for abseil anchors (a tension V in each cord). Is there an interesting story to be told by the party that used them? If it was an accident, I hope all is well!
