Shelf Route

Lena and I had another day out for fun. We wanted a route where we could both lead, so we settled on Shelf Route on the Buachaille – a route that has been popular over the last week or so.
There was a team ahead of us, but they were a good pitch or so ahead, so we didn’t get in each others way – I was glad of our casual start, so we didn’t have to do any waiting at belays. We accidentally did the route in 4 pitches. I told Lena that I wanted P6 (crux), but at the end of P4, I was at the top oops – so I accidentally cheated Lena out of some of her leading.
The route was great and I look forward to doing it again sometime.
The turf was frozen and there was even some helpful neve (but not a lot really) – mostly the snow was unhelpful.
